What started over eight years ago in the back room of someone else's shop has grown into a thriving fibre craft community. Founded by Nikki Small and run by a small team of friends and family, Ewe Felty Thing is powered largely by tea, coffee and the occasional yarn fumes.

Alongside our carefully chosen yarns and fibres, we design knitting and patterns, hand-dye yarn in-house, run workshops and social groups, and host our popular Knitting Membership. We love helping people discover new skills, gain confidence and find joy in making.

At the heart of everything we do is a belief in the power of creativity. Nikki has lived with long-term health challenges since her late teens, and fibre crafts have provided both comfort and purpose through some difficult times. We know first-hand how transformative a creative hobby can be, and we're passionate about helping others discover that for themselves.

We also believe that you don't have to "earn" the good yarn. Beautiful materials aren't just for experts. Using quality fibres from the very beginning makes the whole process more enjoyable and often leads to better results too.

So whether you're picking up your first pair of needles, starting your next big project, or simply popping in for a yarn squish, you're always welcome here.
