Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas!

Phew! It's been a really busy couple of months here at Ewe Felty Thing! We have loved every minute of it, but are looking forward to a few days rest now over the festive season.

So what have we been up to? We've been given the amazing opportunity to grow our little shop, and have expanded to fill the entirety of 22 Madoc Street!!

As you can see, the kids and I were a tiny bit excited when the sign went up over the shop at the start of November! The comments from customers so far has been amazing, and it seems that everyone is loving the new and improved Ewe Felty Thing just as much as we are!

So, since then we've been busy decorating for Christmas, with Wendy and I making more pompoms than we thought possible to create our Pompom Christmas Tree!

I think you'll agree that it is rather cute and definitely worth all the effort!!

This year really has been a huge journey for me, and has been the realisation of a lifelong dream. This time last year I had no idea that I would be sat here now. But due to an amazing set of coincidences and circumstances, I went from crafter, to starting up in March subletting the back of Promise Art and Crafts, to now being a fully-fledged shop owner. I really want to thank everyone that has been involved over the last 12 months in all capacities, dyers, suppliers, customers, friends, and co-workers (as well as long-suffering family members!) for all their hard work and support! You are all epic!

So.. What's on the cards for Ewe Felty Thing next year? Hopefully many things!

First off, we're launching our 'Yarn Club with a Difference', where we turn the traditional yarn club on it's head, allowing you, the customer control over the colourways you receive. We have so many gorgeous yarns in the shop, and I am really excited to be sharing them with even more people.

Another exciting thing is that we've been accepted for a stall at Wonderwool Wales in April! Wonderwool has been my 'mecca' for as long as I can remember, so being able to attend as a vendor is beyond my wildest dreams!

So, on that very happy note, I am going to sign off by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone here at Ewe Felty Thing.

Nikki, xx
