UK Alpaca Superfine Chunky

Description

The Superfine range of yarns from UK Alpaca have a gorgeous soft handle with good loft. A blend of 75% British superfine alpaca with 25% wool and manufactured in the UK.

This  3/3Nm chunky and speckledy chunky yarn, is deliciously smooth and soft to knit and wear. Sold in 50g balls making 50m per ball.

Please be aware that is difficult to get all shade colours correct in photos. Especially the Emerald Green which is really a strong emerald green and not blue as seems in the photo.   The Purple Haze is slightly more purple than seems in the photo.

The Speckledy shades are a melange creating a deep speckledy colour reminding the UK Alpaca team of their colourful flock of chickens. They used a mix of black, dark brown and red brown fibre blended with a white wool to give the natural grey shade which is then overdyed to give the other shades in the range.

10cm x 10cm (4″ x 4″) tension square using 6mm needles will be 18 rows by 15 stitches

Care Instructions:

Hand washing: Use lukewarm water and a specialist wool detergent. Hair conditioner in the final rinse will add extra softness. When washing and rinsing squeeze the garment rather than rubbing. Gently squeeze out excess water before rolling in a towel. Lay flat to dry.

Washing machines: Modern machines with delicate programme at 20degC using a wool delicate detergent. Can be spun at 400rpm but it is always advisable to check first by washing a tension square and then checking the final dry size.
