🎄✨ Festive Knit & Crochet-Along – Patterns #5 ✨🎄
We’re adding even more festive fun with two adorable animal-themed ornaments! These patterns are perfect for using up scraps of yarn and creating decorations that will make your tree extra special.
Knit Pattern #5 - Christmas Tree Bears by Julie Williams
Our fifth knitting project is the Christmas Tree Bears by Julie Williams – a charming little ornament that’s as cute as it is versatile. The pattern includes instructions for making a bear, but you can also adapt it to create a rabbit for a fun twist!
This is a stash-busting project that uses only small scraps of yarn and knits up quickly. The assembly can be a little fiddly, but here’s a tip: save time by making the dress a few rows longer and skipping the legs.
For a lovely contrast, try working the body in smooth cotton and the head, ears, and limbs in a fuzzy woollen yarn. The sample shown uses 4ply cotton for the body and DK-weight yarn for the head and limbs, but you can experiment with thicker yarns and larger needles for a bigger ornament.
