Cwmchwefru Wool comes from a small, carefully bred flock in Laugharne, West Wales — the result of over 30 years of selecting for wool quality, natural colour, and low environmental impact.
The flock draws on a rich mix of breeds including Shetland, Cotswold, Ryeland, Wensleydale and Portland, with Icelandic, Gotland, Corriedale and Merino. No single breed gave everything needed, so the flock has evolved into a wonderfully varied mix — each sheep different, each fleece its own character.
Completely undyed and spun locally in West Wales, this is traceable, natural yarn with minimal fibre miles. A real find for spinners and knitters who care about provenance.
