Ashford Drum Carder 72 Point (fine)

Drum carders are amazing devices! Whether you are wanting to process raw or cleaned wool so that you can spin it, or whether you are looking to create your own custom blends, these fabulous contraptions are so much fun to play with and make working with fibres a dream!

This 72pt Drum Carder has two ratios for increased flexibility and control when carding and blending:

Use the 6:1 ratio to prepare your fleece. The controlled intake and carding will produce a smooth even batt ready for blending, spinning or felting.

Use the 4:1 ratio to blend sliver, colours and different fibre types consistently into an open and airy batt.

The Drum Carder has adjustable drum clearance so you can change it to suit the fibre. 50gm of carded fibre can be produced per batt. The card cloth is rust-proof.
It comes assembled with a Danish Oil finish.
