Spun in a light DK weight with a beautiful tweed effect. The magical combination of 50% lightly-felted wool, 25% viscose and 25% alpaca makes it supremely blockable and a gorgeous option for lacework as a result.
Tweeds have a long history in the British Isles where there has always been a need for woolen outerwear to keep people warm and dry in the damp climate. From this long heritage, Felted Tweed was born. Like tweed fabrics, this yarn is slightly rustic, but it has an inherent softness that comes from the Merino, and a slightly brushed texture enhanced by the alpaca.
