This shawl, by Elizabeth McGuire at Make Do Vintage, is inspired by the Fibonacci sequence. In this series each number is the sum of the two preceding ones. The pattern comprises of 13 triangles following the sequence up and then reversed down, providing a perfectly symmetrical shaped shawl.
The shawl can be made with the yarns suggested in the pattern, however the possibilities are endless! You may use any scraps of yarn, mini skeins, advent mini skeins, two contrasting colours, stripes, different coloured triangles and many more. Hence the name "Scraponacci"!
